Why is life unfair? Is it intended to be fair? Why are some people born in poverty, while others are born wealthy? For my whole life, I feel as if my problems are the least of someone else’s worry. When I was younger, my sister and I would grapple over a little teddy bear, even though we had a dozen more. On the other side of the country, someone my age, gender, and ethnicity might be wondering where their next meal is coming from and would be thrilled to share a teddy bear.
Ultimately, everyone is a victim of unfairness. Have you ever wondered how everyone but you is successful? Why do you get a bad grade when you spend double the time studying? We always want to be rewarded for our hard work and dedication. But more, we compare ourselves to those around us. Everything is about how we are suffering to those around us, but we don’t know what is happening in their life.
You should only compare yourself with yourself. You want to improve from yesterday and conquer your problem the best way you can. The reward of success is the best feeling in the world and you can’t experience that without the problems of your life. Life would be so boring without these challenges- each day would be the same as the other. You need to embrace your differences from those around you, and maybe life won’t feel unfair.
