TedxYouth@Manalapan presents Lead by Example, an event dedicated to teen voices who challenge the status quo. From cooking to personal finance to anti-bullying, TedxYouth@Manalapan explores what it means to be a youth leader. Our mission is to inspire Gen Zs and Millennials to take initiative and create change in their communities!
The TedxYouth@Manalapan program was started by Rachel Osias, a local high school sophomore who took the initiative to inspire teen leadership. In July of 2020, Rachel applied for a TEDx license and started curating speakers and a TEDx team. Now, TedxYouth@Manalapan has expanded outside her community, with 6 speakers across the United States. The upcoming TedxYouth@Manalapan event will feature speakers such as Masterchef Junior winner Logan Guleff, Serial Entrepreneur Taylor Price, and @zenerations director Sophia Delrosario.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).
