Republican Randall and Democrat Daniel on The Fauci Leak

Context: Recently, several news outlets have received private emails from Dr. Anthony Fauci that describe his personal thoughts regarding the pandemic. His thoughts range from topics such as mask wearing to hydroxychloroquine being discussed, effectiveness of mask wearing and the disease’s originsIn essence, the emails provide us with an eye into the mind of the nation’s top infectious disease expert.

Republican Randall:

In the early days of the pandemic, Dr. Fauci stood out as a shining light against the backdrop of the rather unpopular Trump Administration. However, beneath the facade of this email leak is nothing but a bombshell report that shows Americans what our supposed top medical expert was really up to.

Dr. Anthony Fauci’s own private emails contradict what he has said in multiple press conferences to the American public. These series of emails include a segment where Dr. Fauci specifically states that the wearing of face masks are not as effective as once believed. Secondly, Dr. Fauci mentions that the virus does not possess the attributes commonly observed in natural diseases, opening a can of worms as toward the origin of the virus. Dr. Fauci’s private thoughts did not correspond with what he told the media; rather, his emails directly went against the headlines that the Mainstream media have shoved down our throats for more than a year. President Trump was censored off of every social media site for presumed threats to public safety, whilst Dr. Fauci’s medical flip flopping makes him a real menace to society.

It is imperative that both the House of Representatives and the Senate work together to investigate Dr. Fauci’s actual beliefs and thoughts. and that we as the people can get to the bottom of this. Covid 19 has shaped our world with the global lockdowns playing a vital role in slowing down the spread, and facemasks have become something we no longer question. Finally we have the means to investigate one of the nation's most revered figures, and truly examine if he deserves to be revered.

Democrat Daniel:

It is no secret that the emails portray a very disheartening image about the nation's top infectious disease expert, yet there is so much context missing from them. While the contents of the email may look terrible at first glance, we have to fully examine the context for each response that Dr. Fauci sent back.

First off, Dr. Anthony Fauci is a DOCTOR first, and he's been the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for 27 years. He has served under six US presidents, from President Reagan to President Biden, which provides unparalleled credibility that broke his mold as the perfect doctor. Dr. Fauci’s medical expertise in his department is unrivaled, and if we are to get out of this pandemic as one nation, we have to follow his advice. While his own personal statements may have contradicted what he espoused to the public, he is entitled to his own thoughts.

Never once did Dr. Fauci allowed his own beliefs to influence what he had to do to keep this nation safe. He is also entitled to the first amendment, he may write and speak what he believes is fit. Compared to President Trump’s public statement to the press, the private emails that Dr. Fauci sent are nothing in comparison. This is nothing but a partisan move to defame one of the nation's brightest minds in disease control.

In essence, Dr. Anthony Fauci is one of the greatest and compassionate people who have ever led our nation through a crisis. His medical expertise and his work ethic are out of this world, and he may have his own beliefs, he always maintained a professional facade. We must keep Dr. Fauci at the head of our disease control department,  no matter the cost.
