A Tour Of BTHS!

    by Natalie Dundas

Hello! I'm Natalie, and I'll be your  Biotech tour guide! Before we get started, it is important to note the bell schedule. For any incoming students, these timings can be confusing, and it is vital to understanding when your classes start and end. The bell rings as follows:

First Bell - 7:30

Homeroom - 7:33 - 7:35

Block 1 - 7:35 - 8:57

Block 2 - 9:00 - 10:22

Lunch/Activity - 10:25 - 10:55

Lunch/Activity - 10:55 - 11:25

Block 4 - 11:28 - 12:50

Block 5 - 12:53 - 2:15

Dismissal - 2:15

Now that that is taken care of, we can begin  our tour!

Once you enter through the main entrance, directly across from the foyer will be a door to an outside deck. Slightly to your right, there is the MPR, or multi-purpose room. To your left, is the main office. Directly across from the main office is the media center, which is a quiet space students often use to work, use computers, or relax. The lockers are also downstairs near the multi-purpose room.

Here is the view to the left of the main MPR entrance. Ahead, there is also another set of double doors, which also lead out to a patio area.

A cozy little corner :)

View into the MPR (and outdoors/patio) from the lockers, as shown above.

View into the "mini" hallway of the first floor; On the far right is the fitness room, and on the left is the MPR (above). It is also important to note that there is a short hallway that holds the Nurse’s office and a few small staff rooms in the middle of the hall on the right side.

If we travel down the first floor hallway straight, until we come across stairwell one, we enter the second floor.

Please Note That:

Rooms on the first floor start with "1", i.e. 118, 102, etc. They decrease in value as you approach the main office. The downstairs is quite easy to follow as there is only one actual hallway (other than short entrances to large rooms) that leads toward the office, MPR, media center, lockers, etc.

Rooms upstairs are found along in a singleaone single hallway, which increase in number toward the "windowed corner". These rooms are numbered 200+. There are two entrances to the second floor, which are accessed by stairwells on either side of the corridor. The "windowed corner" is the stairwell that students can follow to the end of the first floor hallway, while the other stairwell places students in front of the MPR.

At the end of the hallway, we find the entrance to Stairwell Two, or the "Windowed Corner" , which brings us back to the first floor.

That just about concludes our tour, and I hope this helps!
